Annual Events
We currently have three annual events that our foundation plans and hosts. We hope this number will grow as we continue to find ways to involve those that want to join our mission.
BRETT’S BIRTHDAY PARTY
In July, we celebrate Brett’s birthday with heart friends and families we have met along this journey. The day Brett was born will forever be one of the happiest days in the lives of the Boyer family, and we always want to remember the joy and light Brett has given to so many. This year, several heart warrior friends painted bumblebees as well as other pieces of pottery on her third birthday, and the room was full of love and hope. These children have endured multiple surgeries, heart transplants, many hospitalizations and so much more and are a great reminder of why we are so passionate about our mission.
RED BIRD GAMES
We hosted our first annual Red Bird Games in 2018 and look forward to it again this year. This is an exclusive, privately hosted event that provides such a wonderful opportunity to spread our mission and raise money for research. Our guests enjoyed lots of outdoor activities such as skeet shooting, fishing and putting as well as an auction and live music. We are so grateful for all of the participants and supporters of this event.
BIKE FOR BRETT
March 21st, referred to as 3/21, is World Down Syndrome Day but we want to celebrate it the whole month! How many miles can you track in the month of March? 21? How about 321?? This date is significant due to the fact that our friends with Down syndrome have three copies of the 21st chromosome. Our goal is to raise awareness and support the abilities of our friends who are rocking that extra chromosome.
We will be cycling in neon to be #BrightForBrett as we #BikeForBrett! We encourage you to get out and be active with your family and friends!
